So this is the start of my 25 Expressions Project (25 EP). I’ll be taking random folks and setting them up to just let loose with as many facial expressions as they can. You find out that it’s not that easy to do for most people and not for everybody, as it’s hard to even think about 25 different expressions off the top of your head, let alone show that emotion in the face. But the end result is real cool, seeing how someone can differentiate from photo to photo, and how their expression is different from someone else doing the exact same kind of face.
I’m starting this project off slow, cause I have a lot on my plate and I don’t wanna stretch myself too thin til I get a stable flow going…So I’ll be working with people I know or come across that I feel could do well with the project…I think I’ll eventually make a site for this…Anyway, stay tuned.

So it started out with just me. I randomly felt like taking a bunch of pictures just doing as many faces as I can. I usually do this with models during shoots when their face seems stuck in the same glance every time…It’s a good way to loosen up. So I felt like doing it for fun, and it definitely was fun. I lined a bunch of the pics up, 5x5, and came up with a cool grid of 25 expressions. I thought of it as just something cool for the moment but when I showed this older photographer friend of mine, he said it would be a great series, and I agreed…
